Take Action to Support Fair Redistricting
in New Mexico
Contact your legislators, urging them to support fair redistricting in New Mexico.
- Provide Feedback through the official website for the Citizen Redistricting Committee NMRedistricting.org. This portal has a place for public input.
- Attend the 14 public meetings. There will be two sets of seven meetings to provide input on redistricting criteria and then provide feedback on sample redistricting maps.
- Once redistricting maps have been submitted to the New Mexico House and Senate, ask your legislators to support fair redistricting and fair representation. You can call members of the New Mexico House of Representatives or members of the New Mexico Senate. You can also email your lawmaker. If you need a quick refresher on finding your lawmaker, use the legislature’s website. The legislation needs to be improved by requiring transparency, accountability and inclusion of all communities.
- Sign our petition, lending your voice in support of or against the maps that are submitted to the legislature (NOTE: The petition link will become active once the maps are delivered to the legislature).
- Sign up for action alerts, because we will need your help again!
- Write a letter to the editor, using your own ideas or themes offered by Fair Districts New Mexico.
